Getting to Cancún
Cancún is Mexico's most-awarded tourist destination and one of Latin America's leading cities for hotel infrastructure. Its Hotel Zone stretches along a sandbar between the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupté Lagoon, with white-sand beaches and turquoise waters that are part of the Mesoamerican Reef System — the world's second-largest barrier reef, protected as a marine national park.
Cancún combines nightlife concentrated around Punta Cancún, a fusion of Mexican and international cuisine, and quick access to excursions like Isla Mujeres (a designated Pueblo Mágico, 20 minutes by ferry) or the Xcaret eco-archaeological park.
